I have been practicing personal injury trial law since 1987. Throughout my entire legal career I have dedicated my practice exclusively to representing injured people and their families. I have never represented big businesses nor insurance companies.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin. I received my law degree from South Texas College of Law. In 1993 I applied for and became Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Examiners. I was again certified in 1998 and 2003. This means that I am a specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law. In 1998 I also became Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

In 2000 the nationally renown Martindale-Hubbell legal directory awarded me their highest accolade, an AV rating. This was the result of an extensive, confidential review conducted among the legal profession in my community. An AV rating is important because it is confirmation that the lawyer's legal abilities are of the very highest standard and that their professional ethics are unquestioned. It is the highest rating that is bestowed on a lawyer from the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory. Only 5% of America's lawyers have this AV rating

My community activities include being a Board of Directors for a national child-advocate group called Justice For Children and a mentor at a local elementary school.
